I have a lot of stone laying out along the back of the house and have found snakes basking out there on warm winter days in years past, but this is definitely the earliest date I have recorded - nothing prior to February before. We live in an old farmhouse and snakes hibernate in the basement, so I think that is where these early baskers are coming from - we live in a 200-year old farmhouse and I'm sure they have found passages through the foundation.
nice, thought it may have been a wrong date.
Enjoying the global warming.
what was it doing out?!
